Overview
St. John’s English Medium School is a Christian school in Andhra Pradesh, India. The school is in the geographical center of three villages and will grow to serve the needs of five hundred children ages three to sixteen; many of whom have never attended a school of any kind.
St. John’s curriculum is taught in the English language, broadening opportunities for the students later in life, where knowing their local language may not be enough for them to find employment. The children are taught about their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and how he gave his life to cleanse us all of our sins. We aim to help break the cycle of poverty through education, giving hope for future generations. It is the message of salvation through Jesus that will bring hope to each individual child, having an eternal impact on those same generations.
Once matured, the school will sustain itself through tuition payments and will not require ongoing financial support. Surplus funds can then be used to further grow the school and to scholarship students in a nearby orphanage.
